PistolStar is a privately-funded independent software vendor. The company
offers Password Plug-Ins, password authentication and management solutions.
The Password Plug-Ins are a comprehensive product set that responds
to a company's need to secure applications and information while simplifying
the logon process. Launched in 1999, PistolStar is emerging as a leading
password solutions provider.
PistolStar has experienced substantial organic growth, attributing its
success to an understanding of customers' pain, having the ability to
demonstrate a positive return on investment, and differentiating itself
from the competition by delivering flexible solutions with full technical
support from the developers.
PistolStar is based in Nashua, NH, yet maintains an international reach.
Since introduced, the company has sold its software to over 400 enterprises in the U.S. and
abroad, comprising millions of users.
Customers include Abbott Laboratories, Campbell Soup, Colgate
Palmolive, Discovery Communications, Dupont, First Energy, Bank of America,
Hertz, Home Depot, MGM, and State Street Bank, among others. While PistolStar
continues to expand its presence in the enterprise market, it is also
pursuing opportunities to provide its products to the small-to-medium
business (SMB) market.
Management Team

Tom Hoey, President and Founder
Founder Tom Hoey has 20 years of experience
as a software engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation and Iris Associates,
an IBM Lotus subsidiary, developing solutions for companies spanning
a variety of industries. Hoey gained credibility as a software engineer
during his tenure at Iris, where as senior developer, he focused on
password management and development tools for administrators.
A natural leader with great vision and imagination,
Hoey is responsible for developing many of the core features available
in Lotus Notes and Domino. He has published numerous articles in The
View (Wellesley Information), www.notes.net, and Lotus Notes Advisor.

Gregg Browinski, CTO
Browinski oversees PistolStar's product
development and technical support. Prior to joining the company, he
received extensive experience as a developer at IBM Lotus and Iris Associates.
Browinski has served as the lead developer for PistolStar's password
security and management solution, Web Set Password. He is responsible
for the product's technical success and the recognition it has received
through award nominations.

Mark Cochran, Vice President of Sales
Cochran has several years of achievement
in sales and extensive experience in the technology industry. Previously,
Cochran held senior sales positions at Boise Technology and AAA Networks.
He is a certified IBM eBusiness Solutions Advisor.

Beth Bryant, Vice President of Marketing
Ms. Bryant is an accredited consultant with
over 20 years professional experience and a background in journalism,
business, management, and marketing. She provides strategic consulting,
program planning and management, and value-added public relations, marketing
and writing services. Since 1992, she has practiced public relations
and marketing at agencies serving a variety of technology sectors, including
the IT security market.
