PistolStar to showcase security plug-ins at Lotusphere 2004.

An Emerging ISV Delivering Integrated Security Plug-Ins for IBM Lotus Technology, PistolStar Will Be Exhibiting at Booth # 704

ORLANDO, Fla., January 26, 2004 - Attendees at Lotusphere 2004 are invited to stop by PistolStar's exhibit at booth #704, where the company is offering product information and integrated software demonstrations on its solutions for IBM Lotus technology. PistolStar's line of security products - the Integrated Security Plug-ins - will be the featured attraction of PistolStar's booth. The Integrated Security Plug-ins include Web Set Password, Password Power, Password Synchronization Plus, Password ActiveX (PAX) for SiteMinder and Connect Authentication Plug-in (CAP) for Lotus Instant Messaging and Web Conferencing & Microsoft Active Directory.

The Integrated Security Plug-ins help companies meet or exceed corporate security initiatives, and incorporate specific "best practices" to secure the password authentication process. The Integrated Security Plug-ins also address specific problems and challenges faced by CTOs running their business on IBM Lotus technology, such as enabling secure access to corporate intranets and extranets, protecting applications and content from illegal usage, and securing the authentication process without increasing Help Desk calls.

PistolStar's exhibit will offer demonstrations of its recent upgrade of Web Set Password, a Lotusphere 2003 Beacon Awards Finalist in the Best Tool category. The demonstrations will include integration of Web Set Password with e-Gap Remote Access Appliance, an enterprise-class SSL VPN offered by partner and fellow Lotusphere exhibitor, Whale Communications. Web Set Password adds over 31 password authentication and security features beyond what is available in Lotus Domino R5, 6 and 6.5, including Web single sign-on, browser-based password synchronization, Help Desk Manager and self-service password resets. The Web Set Password functionality makes up the security component in PistolStar's Facet IM Solutions for IBM Lotus Instant Messaging and Web Conferencing and in Facet Workplace Solutions for IBM Lotus Team Workplace.

An IBM Advanced Business Partner, PistolStar offers IBM Lotus middleware users a line of software solutions for collaboration and desktop administration as well as security. The company is currently developing a line of portlets for Lotus Workplace. The first available portlets are the Facet IM Analyzer and the Facet Workplace Analyzer, which are already built on the WebSphere and J2EE architectures.
