PISTOLSTAR ADDS LEADING ORGANIZATIONS IN KEY INDUSTRIES TO ITS CUSTOMER BASE WITH LATEST DEPLOYMENTS OF PASSWORD POWER 8Password Authentication and Management Authority Expands Its Presence in the Healthcare/Pharmaceuticals, Government and Non-Profits SectorsAmherst, NH – June 3, 2008 – PistolStar, Inc., provider of password management solutions integrating Microsoft Active Directory®, enterprise single sign-on and stronger authentication, today announces the latest customers deploying Password Power 8, its framework of plug-ins for optimizing authentication to multiple enterprise applications. The new customers include three organizations representing distinct industries in which PistolStar has a presence and a sterling record of customer success: Healthpoint, New York State Executive Branch and Comptroller, and Amnesty International. Healthpoint and Amnesty International are global, enterprise-level organizations. Implementing Password Power will allow these organizations to secure the logon process, reduce logons and passwords to a single set of credentials, centralize password policies, leverage Microsoft Active Directory with the Kerberos authentication protocol, and increase productivity for both end-users and administrators. Healthpoint, a specialty pharmaceutical firm and the operating company of DFB Pharmaceuticals, Inc., purchased the Password Power Plug-Ins for Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino. Integrating Active Directory, Password Power will enable Healthpoint to synchronize passwords for the Notes ID and Domino Web applications and unify password policies. Healthpoint expects a surge in productivity as a result of the improved password management. The organization is deploying Password Power to over 1,000 users at its Fort Worth, TX headquarters and at DFB’s DPT Laboratories in San Antonio, TX. Dedicated to the prevention and treatment of diseased and traumatized skin and related soft tissue, Healthpoint has three divisions: Tissue Management, Dermatology and Surgical. The New York State Executive Branch and Comptroller each purchased the Password Power Web Set Password Plug-In, a browser-based password authentication and security solution offering stronger authentication capabilities that enhance Lotus Domino 8 security. Web Set Password will enable the Executive Branch to better secure the Domino HTTP authentication process in order to allow a greater number of users to access their email using Domino Web Access. The Comptroller will be able to provide its security team with password management capabilities for external users who do not have Lotus Notes clients and only have external Internet addresses. Both agencies anticipate enhanced password management for their Domino HTTP users, which total over 5,000 internally and externally. |
