PistolStar’s Password Power Portal Plug-In Sharply Reduces Authentication Steps via Authentication Redirection to Microsoft Active Directory

The Password Power Portal Plug-In enables single sign-on using Microsoft Active Directory credentials when logging into an enterprise information portal, permitting users to access applications without repeated login prompts and save substantial login time. The Portal Plug-In supports popular portals such as BEA WebLogic and IBM WebSphere.

Password Power Portal Plug-In capitalizes on the simplicity of logging in with the Microsoft Active Directory credentials to provide users with single sign-on from the portal. After entering their credentials at the portal login screen, users can directly access IBM Lotus Domino applications (Lotus Notes, Domino HTTP, Lotus Sametime and Lotus QuickPlace); IBM WebSphere; SAP NetWeaver and SAPGUI. The Portal Plug-In successfully achieves single sign-on by creating tokens with the portal (Active Directory) credentials when the user logs in.

As an added benefit, Password Power Portal Plug-In was developed as a server-side solution, which makes it easy to install and does not require IT administrators to deploy client-side software. Password Power Portal Plug-In supports Microsoft Windows, Linux, Sun Solaris, IBM iSeries V5R3, IBM AIX 5.1 and Mac OS X.
